All tasks fail within 1 second.

http://boinc.vgtu.lt/vtuathome/result.php?resultid=10824

The stderr doesn't offer much info.

Yes. This is currently the problem #1 in the list. Looking at it...

Yes, it seems I have found what was causing problems with linux application version. At least it has solved now a couple of tests successfully. My mistake: I have tested linux version in the "standalone" mode and was not expecting problems under the control of the BOINC client... :(

I have just launched the new test to crunch with corrected versions of applications, validator and etc.

V.

Doesn't run on Windows 2000 (VC++ version issue, probably cannot be solved)

CreateProcess() failed - / Exit status -185 (0xffffffffffffff47) ERR_RESULT_START

Usually a kernel version / DLL problem.

Depending on the compiler version there might still be a compatibility option but the latest MS compilers don't have that anymore.

edit : XP before SP2 might be affected too, I cannot test that though

XP before SP2 doesn't work, I did test it ;)

Most of the new projects using 'recent' compiler versions don't work on prehistoric operating systems :( Nothing wrong with old OSs, I still have an XP SP1 machine running. I just have to crunch a limited subset of projects. Probably not worth projects doing applications for a dying breed though. Fair enough.

... 'recent' compiler versions ...

Just Microsoft compilers that is.

Afaik. GNU has no trouble - besides some cross-platform validator issues under Windows that are caused by Microsoft DLLs (rounding policies)
